Our Mission

Central Texas Martial Arts empowers individuals of all ages through Bainton Bujutsu, a proven practical self-defense system developed over 42 years and designed for real-life situations, not sport competition. Our karate programs build confidence, discipline, and genuine self-defense skills for kids, teens, and adults across Hewitt, Waco, and surrounding communities.

Expert instruction focuses on self defense, strong character, and community involvement. Students gain confidence and resilience both on and off the mat.

Master Scott Bainton

Founder

Scott Bainton has over 42 years of martial arts experience. He has trained in Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, Kuk Sool Won, and Kung Jung Mu Sul. He holds a 7th Degree Black Belt in Ba Ki Do and Bainton Bujutsu. He graduated as Valedictorian from Hawaii Pacific University and was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2018.

Instructor

Tyler has trained and taught since 2007. He is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu and a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Ba Ki Do. He also holds cross-disciplinary grappling training.

Simon has trained since 2011 and joined staff in 2012. He is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Ba Ki Do. He teaches in Waco ISD.

Zachary began training in 2009. He is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu and a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Ba Ki Do. He also holds cross-disciplinary grappling training.
